She is the Founder and CEO of 103 Collection. A vegan plant based, clean beauty brand for sensitive skin. Melinda is also a Wife, Mom and Entrepreneur. She holds a Master Degree in Health Care Administration and a Bachelor in Business Management. Since 2015, Melinda has created a niche for her brand in the clean beauty space by providing results driven skin, hair, beard and body care for sensitive skin.

In 2022, Melinda secured retail partnerships with Target, Meijer, Flourysh,Amazon,The Shade Room Shop and Empower Global. 103 Collection made history as The First Black Women Owned Vegan Beard Care Line at Target! This Leaping Bunny Certified brand has committed to cruelty free manufacturing and production and a partnership with Kinder Beauty (Clean Beauty Subscription Box), allowed the brand to reach over 42,000 new potential customers in 2 years. They also have WBENC (Women's Business Enterprise National Council) and Supplier Gateway Certification.

Inspiration Behind the Name: A Tale of Divine Connection

The name '103 Collection' isn't just a random choice—it's a reflection of a remarkable journey that Melinda and Delfondo embarked on long before they crossed paths. As teenagers, they both called the same neighborhood home, residing just a mile apart on Chicago's south side in the Roseland neighborhood. Remarkably, their paths had never crossed during those early years.

Years later, fate intervened, and they finally met. What they discovered was a divine connection rooted in shared stories of growing up on 103rd street. It was a connection that felt like destiny had played its hand.

When it came time to choose a name for their business, Melinda and Delfondo couldn't ignore the palpable energy that surrounded the number 103. It was a name that not only held their personal history but also represented the serendipity that had brought them together.
