The Brand


A new brand of beard, hair & skin care founded by a husband and wife, Delfondo & Melinda Herron. 103 Collection is unique with a full offering of vegan lifestyle products for both men & women. Our goal is to provide consumers with healthy lifestyle products that are paraben, phthalate, SLS, and cruelty free.


It’s a unique story of a familiar neighborhood in Chicago which many locals refer to as the Roseland area. At one point during their pre-teen years, Melinda & Delfondo were both living less than a mile from each other on 103rd but did not know each other. As time passed, faith placed them at the same place at the same time where they both discovered they had this one element in common therefore inspiring the name 103 Collection.


The passion behind 103 Collection was a direct connection between Melinda suffering from allergic reactions, Delfondo and their son Mekhi chronic skin condition eczema and what methods they could use to solve these issue. After researching the possible triggers, they discovered that the most common thread was ingredients such as parabens, preservatives, and SLS. Many of these ingredients not only cause allergic reactions and/or irritate your skin, research shows that they have also been linked to cancer. This discovery prompted the introduction of plant-based products, which research proves is healthier for people with sensitive skin and skin conditions.

With new, high-tech extraction processes and innovative compounds, potent, plant-based active ingredients they are not only good for the skin, they are good for the environment. Without any harmful chemicals, artificial colors, or other by-products, they are less likely to cause any skin irritation. Plant-based beauty products have become more common in the marketplace as consumers try to balance their needs with protecting the environment. It helps that many of these products can be even more effective than traditional products that contain by-products.

This knowledge encouraged Melinda to start mixing products in her kitchen and using them with her family, and after 2 days of using the products, they noticed a difference. Friends and family soon heard about the results and were interesting in purchasing the products. She knew these products could become an international plant-based lifestyle brand for Men & Women and in 2015, she launched 103 Collection.

With a growing base in the United States and abroad, 103 Collection has customers in Paris, Kuwait, and Africa and is on the road to becoming a global brand. With this success, we were able to see a 52% increase in sales. Our top sellers are Beard Care and Skin Care. This growth has captured the interest of Sheen Magazine, Txture Magazine, Made Magazine, Curly Nikki and retail partners such as Erewhon, Amazon, The Onyx Shop, Pampered & Twisted and Hattache.
